Radioart piece, tribute to the American composer Pauline Oliveros, inspired by her article “And don’t call them lady composers”. My piece is part of the album “Tribute to Pauline Oliveros” produced by Irreverence Group of Music, curatoryby Susan Campos Fonseca.
The piece was premiered during the “Tribute to Pauline Oliveros organized by Revueltas Sonoras, III Encounter” in Mexico.
The piece is a Tribute to the American composer Pauline Oliveros, inspired by her article “And don’t call them lady composers”, where she describes the historical position of women not as creative persons but as a gender who had to cover domestic duties and obey her husbands. I create a radio-art piece with testimonies about femicides in Latinamerica and particularly occurred inside their homes, like domestic violence. The radio-art piece exposed how women are attacked in their own home, by their life partners, as a root of the violence against women
