{"id":3785,"date":"2020-12-28T18:52:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-28T18:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/taniarubio.com\/?post_type=obras&#038;p=3785"},"modified":"2023-04-11T21:35:26","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T21:35:26","slug":"yolcatl","status":"publish","type":"obras","link":"http:\/\/taniarubio.com\/en\/obras\/yolcatl\/","title":{"rendered":"Yolcatl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:es]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2018<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">*Comisionada por el antrop\u00f3logo Rodolfo Candelas, director del Museo Cuauhn\u00e1huac para la exposici\u00f3n &#8220;Yolcatl, representaci\u00f3n animal en el Morelos prehisp\u00e1nico&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Obra para instrumentos precolombinos y electr\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<p>La electr\u00f3nica se realiz\u00f3 con grabaciones de los instrumentos originales que datan del pre-Cl\u00e1sico tard\u00edo alrededor del 600aC., cuyos hallazgos se realizaron en su mayor\u00eda por la arque\u00f3loga Silvia Garza en Xochicalco y zonas arqueol\u00f3gicas aleda\u00f1as en Morelos. Gracias a las arque\u00f3logas del INAH-Morelos quienes me permitieron acceder a las bodegas para grabar sonar y grabar los instrumentos tras a\u00f1os de permanecer enterrados bajo tierra.<\/p>\n<p>Por otra parte, realic\u00e9 grabaciones de campo de fauna end\u00e9mica del estado de Morelos y tambi\u00e9n utilic\u00e9 grabaciones pertenecientes al archivo sonoro del Laboratorio de Bioac\u00fastica dirigido por el bi\u00f3logo Fernando Urbina.<\/p>\n<p>La obra se basa en los animales como divinidades o seres sagrados, representados en la iconograf\u00eda prehisp\u00e1nica. La exhibici\u00f3n en el museo, en su mayor\u00eda fueron piezas de reciente hallazgo con representaciones animales de un alto valor simb\u00f3lico, tratando de conectar el mundo terrenal con la divinidad.<br \/>\nMi obra &#8220;Yolcatl&#8221; t\u00e9rmino n\u00e1huatl para referir al mundo animal, re\u00fane las voces de los instrumentos ancestrales y sagrados, con el simbolismo divino del mundo animal, en relaci\u00f3n con la representaci\u00f3n sonora de instrumentos de arcilla contempor\u00e1neos y la tecnolog\u00eda contempor\u00e1nea, para cohabitar en un nuevo tiempo-espacio espiritual.<\/p>\n<p>Estrenada en el Auditorio del Museo al interior del Palacio de Cort\u00e9s. Thanks to the archaeologists of INAH-Morelos who allowed me access to the cellars to record sonar and record the instruments after years of being buried underground.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, I made field recordings of endemic fauna of the state of Morelos and also used recordings belonging to the sound archive of the Bioacoustics Laboratory directed by biologist Fernando Urbina.<\/p>\n<p>The work is based on animals as divinities or sacred beings, represented in pre-Hispanic iconography. The exhibition in the museum, most of them were recently found pieces with animal representations of a high symbolic value, trying to connect the earthly world with the divinity.<br \/>\nMy work &#8220;Yolcatl&#8221; Nahuatl term to refer to the animal world, brings together the voices of ancestral and sacred instruments, with the divine symbolism of the animal world, in relation to the sound representation of contemporary clay instruments and contemporary technology, to cohabit in a new spiritual time-space.<\/p>\n<p>Premiered at the Auditorium of the Museum inside the Palacio de Cort\u00e9s.
