Acoustic Fields

For two performers
Supported by the Goethe Institut, Internationaler koproduktionsfonds
Specially written for Jennifer Torrence and Ellen Ugelvik

*Created during the residency of the Acoustic Ecology Lab Mexico-Germany 2023, in the community of Yaxunah, Yucatan, México.

The work is based on the experience of listening to the chorus of insects located in the mounds of the archaeological site of Yaxunah.

My intention is to transfer my listening process during the nocturnal sound walk in the archaeological zone. Perceiving the rhythmic patterns of the insects and the reflection of the sound waves on the walls.
